SCOTT F.
PRESIDENT · BOARD MEMBER
Retired U.S. Army Colonel with over 35 years of service. Scott began as an enlisted Marine, became a commissioned Army officer, served in Iraq in 2004, and was DCNG Chief of Staff in Washington, DC. Deep experience in personnel, manpower, program management, and payroll.

VICE PRESIDENT · BOARD MEMBER
Active-duty U.S. Army Soldier with more than 30 years of combined active and reserve service. Introduced to pickleball by his wife, Chris has seen firsthand how the sport builds community and even reconnects former military colleagues.

SECRETARY · BOARD MEMBER
PPR Level I Certified Associate Coach, U.S. Army Veteran, and DoD contractor with 20 years of service across Europe, Southwest Asia, and Korea. Richard understands the challenges of life after the military and believes the pickleball community is a powerful tool for veteran connection.

LEAD TRAINER · BOARD MEMBER
U.S. Army Soldier and PPR Certified Level II Coach with a sports background in nonprofit coaching, group work, and private training. Skilled at planning and running effective pickleball coaching programs.
NATE D.
BOARD MEMBER
Retired 20-year Air Force officer and current airline pilot. His military career culminated in safely transporting our nation’s top leaders. Teamwork, service before self, and dedication to the mission drive his work with VIP.
JESSE S.
BOARD MEMBER
Served four years in the Air Force at Minot, North Dakota.
During the pandemic he saw how shared activities bridge gaps between people, which mirrors the heart of VIP: a place for veterans to reconnect and build camaraderie.
TIM G.
BOARD MEMBER
Over four decades of public safety leadership, including 25 years with the Alexandria Police Department and 16 years with the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, where he served as Undersheriff. Tim supports veterans and first responders through the sport he loves.
